Over 10,000 snares have been collected by Painted Dog Conservation's rangers and these are estimated to have saved the lives of 1000 wild animals, including critically endangered painted dogs.

The Painted Dog is three times rarer than the Giant Panda, yet losses to poachers, vehicles and poisons account for 90% of Painted Dog deaths.

The works of "snare" art shown on this website are created by Zimbabwean artists, and help to fund our conservation and education work.
